                             ORDINANCE NO.   10473 
        
        
                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                   AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS
                   TO AMEND ARTICLE VIII, SECTIONS 107(1),(20) AND
                   (21)(E)5, RELATIVE TO RESIDENTIAL HOMES FOR THE
                   HANDICAPPED AND/OR AGED PERSONS, ASSISTED
                   LIVING FACILITIES, MEDICALLY ASSISTED LIVING
                   FACILITIES, NURSING HOMES, AND HOSPITALS.

              	   BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
         CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as amended, 
the
         Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is hereby amended as follows:
        
         	   SECTION 1.	  That Article VIII, Section 107(1) be
         amended by deleting the (1) as added by City of Chattanooga
         Ordinance Number 10447.
        
         	   SECTION 2.	  That Article VIII, Section 107(20) be
         amended by changing the (20) as amended by City of Chattanooga
         Ordinance Number 10447, to (21).
        
         	   SECTION 3.	  That Article VIII, Section 107(21)(e)5,
         be amended by deleting the following:   
         
                 5.  A statement of whether the facility will be 
operated
                     for "profit" or "not for profit."
                
         And substitute in lieu thereof the following:
        
                 5.  A statement of whether the facility will be 
operated
                     on a commercial basis.
                
         	   SECTION 4.	  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that this
         Ordinance shall take effect two weeks from and after its 
passage
         as required by law.
